City Semester Pittsburgh offers you a one-of-a-kind immersive experience in urban sustainability. While living in the heart of Pittsburgh, you can participate in a rewarding internship and take relevant online courses. You’ll also join a cohort of other City Semester students in the 3-credit 497 Urban Sustainability course, taught at Penn State Center Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is renowned internationally for its leadership in addressing issues of urban sustainability and resiliency. It is an ideal place for faculty and students to work with Penn State Center Pittsburgh’s community partners.

Community Partners

City Semester Pittsburgh offers the opportunity to work with student interns in a variety of Penn State academic programs, such as business, communications, community environment development, earth and mineral science policy, geography, health and human development, landscape architecture, marketing, recreation, parks and tourism management, and sustainability leadership.

Penn State will provide you with student interns appropriately matched with your company or organization to carry out the desired scope of work and community impact for your project.
